Whitney Owens is in her thirteenth year at Lexington Middle School. Previously she served as the assistant principal for 2.5 years and this will be her fifth year as the principal. She is a native of Hollow Rock, Tennessee, where she graduated from Hollow Rock-Bruceton Central High School. Whitney attended the University of Tennessee at Martin and received her Bachelor of Science degree in Health and Human Performance. She completed her graduate degree in Educational Leadership at Carson-Newman University. In the spring of 2022, she received her endorsement as RTI Interventionist.
Ms. Owens aims to build a strong community of learners with a dedicated team of educators focused on helping students succeed. She believes that all students can reach their full potential when everyone works as a team. She is beyond excited to serve the students and the school community with energy, enthusiasm, and excellence.
