Please note that you must be fully enrolled in Lexington City Schools in order to receive a Chromebook. This means that information must be complete in Synergy Edupoint (Parent Portal) and have a lunch form submitted through My School Apps.
What do I need to know for this school year?
I’m new to the system:
If you are new to the system and will be in grades 4-8, you will need to attend one of the 1 hour training sessions (see below.) These large group training sessions are scheduled on August 8. Alternatively, you may reserve a training session with your school to better meet your schedule. At these training sessions, you will be introduced to our 1:1 Initiative, be able to ask questions, sign your Responsible Use Policy (RUP), and pay/setup a payment plan for the technology usage charge of $30. Both parents and students must attend a training session before students are issued a Chromebook. Chromebooks will be distributed during school in order to train new users.
I went to LCSS in the 3rd grade. I will be in 4th grade for the 2024-25 school year:

I am a returning student in grades 5-8 for the 2024-25 school year:
Parents and students will need to watch a refresher video that is less than 10 minutes. This video may be watched from the comfort of your own home, or will be available for viewing on one of the deployment days. It is important that you and your student watch this video together (see below). On deployment day, you and your student will sign the Responsible Use Policy (RUP) and a form stating that you have watched the video and understand its contents. You will also pay/set up a payment plan for the technology usage charge of $30.This usage charge can be paid now through your MySchoolBucks Store (not caf funds). Both parents and students must be present on deployment day. You must have your Chromebook sleeve with you in order to be given your Chromebook. If you do not have your protective sleeve, you will be required to purchase a new one at the cost of $15.00. If all requirements are met, you will be able to walk in, get your Chromebook, and walk out. No need to stay the entire time.

You may Pay Online utilizing MySchoolBucks, make sure to bring receipt with you.
***NEW THIS YEAR: You will receive an email from "noreply@1to1plus.com" to digitally sign your RUP. This will be sent to the parent email on file with the school system. *** If you are unable to complete this from a touch device (phone/tablet), you will have the opportunity to so do at deployment night.***
