We left the snow and ice behind and zoomed into the land of the Cat in the Hat, Name your Game, and Spring Break! What a jam-packed 3 weeks we have had at both schools! CES had a wonderful time with the celebration of Read Across America and Dr. Seuss' birthday. Please look for a 1/4 page celebration in the Progress next week (4/1/15) of some of their highlights. I had a great time as a guest reader and was in my "happy place" once again. Thanks to Sherry Wood for coordinating the guest readers and getting the story and pictures ready for the newspaper and to our wonderful teachers, staff and children for loving the learning all week. If you are a sports fan, then LMS has a game for everyone...the volleyball team ended their season last week with big wins at Middleton and a split at Chester County. Great girls and coaches and so much talent going to high schools and staying here for the future of volleyball at LMS! Look for boys soccer, baseball, and golf matches going on every week. Coach Wallace and the football team have weekly workouts going on as well. Wherever our red teams are playing, you will not be disappointed in what you see. Spring break came with students and teachers thinking it was not a day too soon. We have hopes for pretty weather, some rest, some time with family, and time to just do the things we've put on the back burner. In the Central Office, you can hear us constantly saying, "I can't believe there will be only 8 weeks left when we get back." We'll make those weeks productive and happy for our students before we send them out the door again for a much longer break. Then you will hear the Central Office say, "I can't believe that school will be starting back next week!" Make the most of YOUR week as a student, parent, or school system employee!
